Business Development Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Business Development & Marketing**:_
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and awareness of products, specifically the Honing Machine, Rod Polisher, and Test Units.
- Identify emerging market trends and partnership opportunities that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to design marketing campaigns that drive leads and conversions for the product line.
- Coordinate with other members of the team to produce high-quality marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and videographer.
- Manage online marketing campaigns, particularly on LinkedIn and other platforms, to boost brand awareness and lead generation for key products.
- Track and report on marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and product-specific awareness efforts.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure marketing materials are updated with the latest product features and improvements for all key products.
- **Review of Current Marketing and Sales Procedures**:_
- Discovery Period: Review and audit existing marketing and sales materials, value propositions, and processes.
- Sales Audit Review: Conduct a comprehensive review of the sales process, including lead generation, sales funnel, and conversion rates. Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Sales Messaging: Assess and refine the current sales messaging to ensure it aligns with the company's value proposition and resonates with the target audience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify gaps, improvement areas, and opportunities to streamline efforts.
- Gather feedback to assess alignment between materials/procedures and company goals. Revised Value Proposition & New Materials:
- Revise the value proposition based on findings from the discovery period to ensure it aligns with market trends and customer needs.
- Design new marketing materials and sales collateral, reflecting the updated value proposition and product line messaging (e.g., Honing Machine, Rod Polisher, Test Units).
- Develop new processes to improve the workflow and communication between sales and marketing teams.
- Oversee the creation of new presentations, case studies, and digital content to enhance product/service messaging.
- **Distributor Support & Trade Show Activities**:_
- Distributor Support: Assist the Sales Manager with maintaining relationships and supporting potential distributors by sharing relevant materials.
- Trade Show Support: Provide logístical support for trade show participation, including organizing materials and handling post-event follow-ups. Governmental Funding:
- **Governmental Funding**:_
- Act as the point of contact with organizations to obtain new governmental funds including SR&ED, IRAP, STEP, and EDC.
- Maintain relationships with funding agencies and stay informed on changes to government funding programs and opportunities. CRM Management (Summary):

- Oversee the CRM system to ensure data accuracy and streamline marketing and sales processes.
- Develop automated workflows, reporting systems, and improve data quality to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure CRM tools meet operational needs and improve performance
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing in a B2B environment.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (Sales force, Hub Spot, etc.) and marketing automation tools.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and lead management.
- Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns and digital content (including videographer).
- Expertise in social media marketing (particularly LinkedIn).
- Ability to design high-quality marketing materials and sales collateral.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from marketing data and CRM reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- **Preferred Skills**:_
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with inbound and outbound sales strategies.
