**WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING**:DEI Project Lead (East Toronto Health Partners) - Full Time (1 year contract)**
VHA is looking for a DEI Project Lead (East Toronto Health Partners) who will provide leadership and direction in convening an ETHP community of practice for Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) organizational leads. Reporting to the Manager, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Lead will support the development of a three-year ETHP Anti-Racism Framework and develop an ETHP OHT Anti-Black and Anti-Indigenous Training Plan in collaboration with organizational partners. This role will be accountable for supporting efforts to cultivate equity, diversity, and inclusion programs and strategies in alignment with ETHP’s shared vision and VHA’s strategic plan
**What You’ll Need**:
- Graduate of a recognized university program.
- Advanced knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism in Ontario’s Health Care Sector
- Ideally you possess a relevant Masters level education
- Project Management and/or organizational change management certification an asset.
- A thorough understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism principles, discrimination and harassment prevention frameworks
- Minimum three to five years’ demonstrated experience researching, developing and/or facilitating educational workshops & programs, public education materials and community initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism and human rights education
- Knowledge and awareness of current equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism issues, promising practices and current methodologies, ability to keep knowledge and skills current and up to date in these key areas
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, including, but not limited to structures like Ontario Health Teams (OHT), Homecare Healthcare, Long-Term Care and hospital settings.
- Fundamental understanding of key legislation, including, but not limited to the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
- Demonstrated abilities to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem solve independently
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and virtual event platforms
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and programming skills; ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and workshops
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse constituencies and communities in a team environment
