**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the safe handling of all food products.
- Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring that each plate meets presentation standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage workflow during busy service periods.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of meal preparation processes and food handling procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
