**HERE’S WHAT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing activities
- Process new hires, employee changes, terminations in company software
- Ensure compliance and adheres to AFL’s policies relating to processing of wages and paid time
- Communicate with the Human Resources Department to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes
- Provide services to Canadian employees regarding concerns with payroll as well as research and troubleshoot all inquires
- Maintain control of AFL payroll files
- Filing and managing all payroll needs
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager with projects

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma in Payroll or Accounting Certificate
- Certification (PCP or CPM) from the Canadian Payroll Association or working towards PCP/CPM
- 1-2 years of payroll experience
- Working knowledge of payroll practices and (Federal) labour regulations & compliance
- The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Proficient in Payroll software
- Have excellent attention to detail, a sense of urgency and be a team player.

**GREAT-TO-HAVES (NOT REQUIRED)**
- Experience with multi provincial payroll would be an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills are an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Work Style: Hybrid
- General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
