**We’re looking for a Public Relations & Social Media Specialist to join the BPR team. You’re prospective, collaborative, and agile with sharp and creative strategic instincts. You know what’s happening in the PR and social space, and love creating experiences through communications and content. You think creatively, like the BPR team - always tinkering with new ways to approach old problems, to find the best and most innovative solutions for our clients.**

**Responsibilities**
- Report directly to the Account Manager of Public Relations
- Play a leading role in managing the planning, development, implementation, and execution of the public relations and communications programs that are created for our clients
- Create thorough, well-thought-out, creative public relations and event plans for clients
- Assign, supervise, and review the activities of the BPR team
- Create, edit, deploy, and pitch press releases
- Take the lead in new business acquisitions; research, creating pitches, proposals, and budgets.
- Build and expand upon relationships with members of the media, continually positioning BPR clients as top-of-mind
- Create, monitor, and manage client and BPR budgets
- Provide new business/business development support
- Demonstrate an understanding of client and business needs, goals, and competitive environments
- Drive and execute digital and social media campaigns to help achieve clients’ objectives
- Be a hands-on team player, adding value, sharing creative ideas, and executing digital programs
- Create solutions to answer clients’ business needs
- Proficient knowledge in using social media platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement. Key platforms include: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok LinkedIn.
- Analysis of current and future platforms and implementing them to further ensure efficiencies and success
- Creating monthly reports for clients
- Write content concepts and bring creative and unique ideas to life
**Qualifications**:
- 2-4 years experience in PR and social. Agency experience preferred.
- Exceptionally strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with food and lifestyle brands
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US food industry media both B2B and B2C
- Strong relationships with local and national lifestyle media
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with various scopes of work
- Recognized expertise in developing strategic creative solutions for clients
- Ability to provide clear, creative, conceptual direction and to motivate cross functional teams
- Strong editing skills. Ability to extract insights from large amounts of information. Comfort developing presentations and presenting your ideas
- A strong understanding of social platforms, the opportunities and challenges they present and opinions on what will work best and why
- Creative direction, design and photo editing skills a bonus, ideally in Adobe Creative Suite.
- An appreciation of storytelling and a desire to find the narrative in anything
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
