The Aga Khan Museum is seeking an individual with experience in the planning and execution of in

**Purpose of Position**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Actively manage an Institutional Giving portfolio, including responsibility to solicit and steward the portfolio.
- Identify and research a pipeline of charitable foundations and government granting programs to provide support for the Museum’s programmatic areas, key funding priorities and operations.
- Help research and build the Museum’s Institutional Giving stewardship program, including to define corporate and sponsor benefits.
- Prepare progress, impact and stewardship reports for funders.
- Ensure timely stewardship, including the delivery of benefits and recognition to the stakeholder portfolio.
- Support the Development team to research and prepare proposals, presentations and impact reports.
- Provide professional, high-quality relationship management to sponsors, donors, patrons, volunteers, staff and other community contacts.
- Use the donor database (Tessitura) to track and record funding prospects and actions.
- Be responsible for a central repository of program-related content, updated on an ongoing basis, available for use by the rest of the department as base informational material.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- University or college degree or diploma, ideally in Business, English or creative writing.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in a not-for-profit organization, preferably in arts and culture.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining a portfolio of corporate sponsors, foundations and grants programs.
- Strong written and presentation skills, including translating organizational priorities into inspiring, compelling and dynamic philanthropic opportunities.
- Experience in identifying, researching, cultivating and soliciting prospects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team, on projects and team priorities.
- Solid interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and to work well under tight timelines or changes in priorities.
- Exceptional skills in MS Office Suite. Experience with donor databases, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Technical ability and willingness to learn new systems as required for the role.
- Being inclusive and respectful of diverse populations.
- Being prepared to work onsite and online, as required by the Museum.
- Evening and weekend work is required for events - flexible work hours required.
- Expressed interest in the mandate of the Museum.

**Please note that the hiring salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000, based on experience.**
