Ply Gem is seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong passion for Dispatching to join our Logistics team.

***:
Reporting to the Line Haul Manager, this position will carry out all day-to-day activities associated with the dispatch function.

Works closely with company drivers and third-party carriers, as well as branches.

**Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm regular shift (7:00am to 3:30pm for 1 to 2 weeks for training).**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2-3 years dispatch and customer service experience in distribution
- Ability to complete KPI dashboards information
- Positive attitude
- Demonstrate the ability to follow operational procedures
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to function well as part of a team
- Ability or organize multiple tasks and people at one time

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for scheduling and organizing the daily dispatch of all equipment for specific locations
- Plan equipment requirements to meet customer delivery expectations
- Ensure supervisors have load sheets and appropriate paperwork on time and sequenced to load
- Processes all orders according to policy for both electronic and hard copy
- Creates export documentation as required
- General understanding of a POD (proof of delivery) system
- Occasional dispatch support on weekends when required
- Coordinate project delivers when required
- Coordinate with Fleet Coordinator to schedule equipment inspections
