**Availability**: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings and/or Weekends

**Status**:Part-Time with Full-Time opportunity after probationary period

**Department**: Operations

**PURPOSE**

The Dispatcher coordinates the daily delivery operations by assigning and monitoring delivery routes, communicating with drivers, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time and accurate package delivery. This role serves as a key communication point between drivers, customers, and internal departments to maintain operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead and dispatch a team of Delivery Vendors, ensuring adherence to the Company's delivery protocols
- Communicate with drivers throughout their routes to handle issues, reroute deliveries, and ensure delivery process compliance
- Proactively mitigate and resolve driver errors including delivery infractions, misdeliveries, customer service tickets, etc
- Update delivery statuses and reconcile returns through FleetOptics' proprietary software
- Administrative functions to ensure the precise management of system information and data
- Encourage and advocate safe driving practices
- Compile daily end-of-day performance reports
- Assist the Operations Manager as needed

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in logistics, operations or customer service
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or transport coordination
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer literacy required, particularly Microsoft Office/Excel
- Post-secondary education in transportation, operations or logistics an asset
