**About the Role**
Contract Governance Specialist
Full-time

The **Contract Governance Specialist **is responsible for every phase of contract development from researching the legal regulations to preparing the print document. The **Contract Governance Specialist** is accountable for ensuring Contractual Terms for Owner Operators are implemented as per the signed agreement.
**How You’ll Help**:
- Regularly audit actual payment terms are in alignment with the executed contract for Owner Operators and Carrier Partners
- Prepare contractual agreements for Owner Operators and Carrier Partners using current research methods and a knowledge of the industry
- Collaborate with Internal and External stakeholders such as Owner Operators, Carrier Partners, Operations, Legal, Broker Pay and Billing
- Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations
- Create and update data base of the industry on how market compensates Drivers, Owner Operators and Carrier Partners
- Create Reports ,Trends, translate business requirements for automation IT integration as applicable
- Clearly explain contract terminology to Owner Operators and other stakeholders in simple, everyday language
- Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Other related duties as may be required
**Your Skills & Experience**:
- University degree in business or related field, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) an asset
- A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in contract audits, cost containment and trend analysis

- Excellent computer skills; including advanced Excel and the ability to learn new programs and platforms
- Advanced communication skills including the ability to relay information (verbal and written) between several parties, across departments, functions, divisions; the ability to prepare detailed and accurate presentations both numerical and text driven
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills; the ability to deal with variables and limited standardization and make solid decisions and recommendations
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment; appropriate sense of urgency and agility to handle changing priorities
- Sound judgement and business acumen in developing and successfully implementing strategies to achieve profitability objectives
- Results focused; able to hold others accountable
- Strong team and customer service focus; relationship building, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- English, other languages an asset
- Able to work with little supervision
- Travel not normally required
