What we need...
**Experience**:

- A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in accounts payable is required, and additional accounting experience is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, with at least one (1) year of experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of incoming invoices and bills from vendors while adhering to company policies.
- Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receipts to verify the completeness and accuracy of transactions.
- Proactively communicate with team members and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
- Ensure offered discounts are fully claimed; vendor penalties are; and maximize cash flow as it pertains to the timing of vendor payments.
- Prepare and process various payment methods, including cheques and electronic transfers.
- Maintain well-organized records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable.
- Maintain the vendor master file.
- Reconciliation of the company credit card statements monthly.
- Experience with the filing of various sales tax remittances is an asset.
- Generate and analyze reports related to accounts payable for financial reporting purposes.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including procurement and finance, to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Strictly adhere to accounting principles and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn within a dynamic work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
