Supply Chain Group Leader

Our client in the Automation industry located in Vaughan, Ontario, is currently looking to hire a Supply Chain Group leader.
The company is responsible for design, assembly and testing in mold labeling and take out robots for injection molding systems. The group leader will be reporting to
the General Manager, Automation and have a dotted line reporting structure to the Director, Supply Chain based at Head
Office.
Responsibility:
Improve the efficiency and costs of our Supply operations, while increasing on-time delivery and customer
satisfaction.
Work closely with the Engineering and Assembly teams to identify and close any operational gaps.

Develop and handle all correspondence / negotiations with suppliers.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and control of parts to individual projects including ordering all parts
related to automation such as steel and electrical panels and electrical components.
- Manage and develop employees, while always ensuring
**Requirements**:
- Completion of a College or University Degree
- 5+ years in a purchasing role.
- Experience in the supply chain in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation
preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
- Able to understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiar with procurement of steel fabrications and electrical/controls components. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM would be an asset.
- Automation equipment knowledge would be an asset.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Able to travel internationally for supplier evaluation.
