Reporting to SCM lead, Supply Chain Planner is responsible for monitoring and managing supply and demand strategy that achieves optimal order fulfillment with a minimum carrying inventory. This collaborative role will work closely with all cross functional teams including customer service, sales, procurement, production, program management, and engineering.

**Responsibilites & Duties**:

- Plan, schedule, coordinate and approve release of production work orders based on capacity constraints and capabilities.
- Interact and influence Sales, Procurement and Warehouse personnel to meet customers’ demands concurrent to meeting inventory KPI’s.
- Develop production plans to meet customer demand within production capacity and lead time.
- Understanding supply chain metrics related to supply and demand, inventory management and lead times.
- Compile reports on progress of work orders, inventory levels, costs and production attainment.
- Review and distribute production work orders to determine progress of work orders, completion dates and to promote informed decision making and alignment amongst stakeholders.
- Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitoring and reporting and continuous improvement activity for planning
- Development and refinement of MRP strategies, tools, and planning.
- Assisting a team of Supply Chain Management on day to day activities.

**Skills Experience & Qualifications**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Analytical skills/critical thinking, experience with supplier management (supply chain / SCM, planning and procurement).
- Self Starter who thinks outside the box and promote process improvement
- Experience working with multi-level Bill of Material
- Understanding of basic manufacturing and assembly processes and routings
- Excellent skills in Microsoft, Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Queries, and formulas)
- Certificate or Diploma in Operations Management or Business-related field
- APICS Certification an Asset
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge an asset
- Desirable to also have other certificate type courses in Materials planning, management or supply chain.
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing principles and good knowledge drilling down into bills of materials.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with mínimal direct supervision
