**Location and Reporting Structure**:
Reporting to the Supervisor Purchasing, this position is based in Edmonton, Canada.

***:
**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the purchasing of equipment, materials, and site needs as requested;
- Liaise with external stakeholders to expedite and process shipping releases and search for potential suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions of purchases. Expedite vendor data and material delivery, and follow up with vendors to provide updates as necessary;
- Create, commit, and issue purchase orders (PO’S) and maintain required documentation to monitor supplier performance and conformance to commercial terms. Evaluate and process changes to purchase orders and processing as per DOA’s;
- Carry out and document rigorous control of all costs related to the project materials requested and report anomalies to supervisor;
- Maintain and update procurement status report(s)and Purchase Orders (PO’S) systems and seek areas of improvement;
- Daily updates to Project Development teams on the outstanding Purchase Orders (PO’s), expediting and work with vendors to solve the delivery delays;
- Ensure the financial paperwork and invoices are submitted for payment in a timely manner and work with the suppliers and finance / project control teams on resolving the billing problems;
- Support warehouse and logistics personnel with obtaining the packing lists, shipment notifications and resolving any discrepancies that might cause delays in payments to the vendors and warehouse receiving; and
- Comply with B2Gold Nunavut’s procurement policies and site procedures during the process of shipping and receiving materials.

**Desired Competencies and Requirements**:

- Five (5) years of purchasing, expediting, contracts and/or procurement experience in mining (preferred), construction, or heavy industry required;
- Possession of SCMP or studying towards a Supply Chain professional qualification and post-secondary diploma or higher in procurement, supply chain, commerce, or related required;
- Excellent vendor communication skills, strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines and receiving critical orders on time; and
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and procurement software considered an asset.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
The starting annual salary for this role is $100,000.00.
