**LINC13H3 - Language Diversity and Universals - Fall 2025**

**Course description**: An introduction to linguistic typology with special emphasis on cross-linguistic variation and uniformity in phonology, morphology, and syntax.

**Salary**: In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the rate of pay applicable for Sessional Instructional Assistants will be: $54.27/hour, excluding vacation pay.

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

**Preferred Qualifications**: Previous research experience with nominals, grammatical features of nouns (person, number, gender, case, etc.), noun phrases (morphosyntax and semantics of the noun phrase), DPs, and argument structure is preferred.

**Duties**:Grading of assignments, quizzes, midterms, and final examinations; entering grades into Quercus; assisting with the creation of assignments and answer keys; invigilating in-person tests and exams on campus.
