Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Home Child Care Consultant to join our team.

Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Diploma / Degree or equivalent qualifications in related field

Must be registered and in good standing with the College of ECE

Experience within the Home Child Care sector an asset

Understanding of child development from birth to age 12 and the ability to plan age-appropriate learning experiences and opportunities

Valid and clear Vulnerable Sector Check, current First Aid Certificate, knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, and Duty to Report

Proficient communication/strong written skills and interpersonal skills

Computer skills - word processing/data management/social media

Knowledge of the Etobicoke community an asset

Use of own vehicle/valid driver’s license would be considered an asset

Responsible for a caseload of assigned home providers to support the health and well-being of children and families

Supports and mentors providers to deliver high quality care that meets or exceeds regulations and Etobicoke Home Child Care Agency policies. Provides resources to support the children’s development and enhance their learning experiences

Conducts home visits monthly to ensure all standards of care are being maintained and completes appropriate documentation; ensures files for providers and children in care are updated in a timely manner

Assists in the recruitment, selection process, and orientation of suitable home child care providers

Ability to handle crisis situations and good problem-solving skills

From time-to-time participate in additional tasks / projects as they arise

Occasional evenings

Reports to the Program Director

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $30.03 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
