**Role Overview**
One of our customers on the Oomple platform is looking for an experienced **HR Payroll Generalist** to join their team in Delta, BC.
As an HR Payroll Generalist, you will manage payroll processes for unionized and salaried employees while also handling HR Generalist duties, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement. This role combines payroll (70%) with HR functions and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional ready to make an impact in a dynamic and growing organization.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Junior HR Generalist, with at least 1 year in a unionized environment and payroll processing.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce NOW, HRIS systems, and MS Office.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create, write, and post job descriptions; manage recruitment, screening/interviewing, and support offers of employment and onboarding.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for unionized and salaried employees.
- Track and update employee files, including payroll, PTO, sick days, and employment records.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and organize group meetings/committees.
- Represent the company at various events and celebrations.
- Conduct and update performance reviews.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedure manuals.
