We are **hiring for a Driver Recruiter/ Trainer** with safety experience to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The main responsibility for this position will be to recruit new drivers and provide support and training to our existing drivers.
**Duties**
- Conduct background checks, perform road tests for drivers and provide them proper training as required.
- Ensure new recruits meet Birkett’s hiring standards.
- Investigate vehicle accidents and injuries.
- Prepare and submit related reports as required.
- Develop and maintain local accident and injury prevention plans & programs.
- Participate in local and industry recruiting events.
- Ensure all driver files are up to date and complete
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in driver recruitment, training, safety & compliance.
- 1 to 3 years in safety & training (transportation industry preferred)
- Safety focused with knowledge of HOS, DOT regulations, and driver welfare
- Truck driving experience is considered an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the commercial trucking industry.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
