Caregiver Program Instructor

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interactive and effective in-person lessons using pre-designed lesson plans and curriculum materials.
- Foster student understanding through clear communication, timely feedback, and a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and complete required administrative documentation promptly.
- Work closely with college administration to ensure program effectiveness and student progression.
- Quickly adapt to provided teaching resources and uphold the educational standards of the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in caregiving, health care, community support, or a related discipline,
- combined with at least **2 years of full-time relevant work experience**,
- and previous teaching or training experience (experience with adult learners is preferred);
**OR**
- Have a minimum of **5 years of full-time work experience** in a caregiving or health-related role,
- along with demonstrated teaching or facilitation experience.
- Please note: Industry experience is mandatory—instructional experience alone does not meet this requirement._
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience in a private post-secondary or adult education setting.
- Knowledge of caregiver training protocols and standards within British Columbia.
- Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
- Adaptable teaching style with experience delivering pre-planned curricula.
Position Details:
- **Job Type**: Full-time
- **Location**: On-site - 1215 W Broadway, Vancouver
- **Schedule**: Available to teach weekdays and weekends (Mondays to Sundays, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- **Start Date**: Flexible (Fall 2025)
- **Compensation**: Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $22.20-$45.41 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
