Production Planner

They say that you are a good planner and that you are able to juggle with the unexpected?
Soucy Rubber is currently looking for someone with good analytical skills, organization, initiative and the ability to handle the pressure of a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Director of Planning and Supply Chain, your main mandate will be to plan, coordinate and follow up on production activities using the planning system and the various tools in place.
Here's an overview of your tasks:
- Plan the production of our finished and semi-finished products, taking into account the capacity of the equipment, the workforce and the supply of materials
- Collaborate with customer service to prioritize production orders in order to ensure that customer requirements are met
- Collaborate with engineering in the planning of track castings under development
- Develop planning strategies to smooth production and provide optimal visibility to the supply chain and other departments
- Optimize production and inventory levels based on sales targets, minimum inventory and/or customer requirements
- Create and schedule production orders
- Manage MRP error messages and communicate with affected stakeholders
- Update and maintain planning parameters in the manufacturing system
- Follow up daily on the progress of the production plan with supervisors and managers
- Monitor and explain the various key performance indicators and implement corrective measures
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
- College or university degree in administration, supply management, operations management or industrial engineering
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of planning in a manufacturing system
- Have leadership skills, be involved and demonstrate customer orientation
- Organized, autonomous, analytical and initiative
- Ability to work under pressure, in a team and within tight deadlines
- Tact and diplomacy
- Ability to manage priorities
- Functional English, written and spoken
