In this essential role, you’ll be responsible for identifying strategic suppliers and managing key relationships, ensuring quality and continuity in our supply chain. **In this role, you will**:
- Work closely with production planners to ensure parts are available at the launch of manufacturing orders
- Place orders for parts, goods, and products required for production based on predefined price lists
- Rigorously follow up with suppliers, expedite delayed deliveries, and anticipate potential supply issues
- Update and optimize procurement parameters in the ERP system (safety stock, rejections, lot sizes, etc.)
- Manage all purchasing requests, from quotations to invoice payment
- Participate in the annual negotiation of price lists, contracts, and terms and conditions to meet competitiveness goals in cost, lead time, and quality
**With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role**:
- BAC in operations management or DEC in industrial engineering or supply management with relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in purchasing in a manufacturing or MRO environment
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems
- Mastery of good business practices in procurement and continuous improvement
- Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written
- Strong customer service skills
