**Job Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze data to optimize routes and schedules.

**Duties**:

- Ensuring all the Dispatch functions are completed while working closely with the Customer Service Team and the Crossdock team and drivers.
- Reports to the Dispatch/Logistics Manager
- Maximize delivery efficiencies to ensure route optimization. Plan routes to maximize effectiveness and efficiencies to achieve profitability goals of the organization.
- Schedule, dispatch, track and monitor drivers, using GPS and fleet software, at various locations while meeting customer requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the driver.
- Receive and process orders for emergency deliveries with a sense of urgency.
- Create manifests for partner carriers in a timely manner to meet load departure cut off times.
- Manage fleet in order to meet appointments, delivery expectations and customer’s requests.
- Responsible for keeping records, monitoring driver daily logs for errors or violations, including hours of services.
- Responsible for ensuring proper paperwork, BOLS, and documentation is collected and uploaded to our internal systems in a timely manner
- Ensure that drivers scan their paperwork into the system and turn over all their PODs and paperwork at the end of their shifts.
- Responsible for safe completion of all required tasks and functions during each shift to ensure the continued operation flow.
- Ensure all security policies are followed.
- Monitor dispatcher routes to manage on-time performance.
- Plans and coordinates pickups / deliveries already entered the system to ensure that they will be completed on time.
- Adaptability to changing demands and conditions.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
- A positive “can do” professional attitude.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
- Know, understand and adhere to all applicable transportation and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Expected hours: 40 per week
