**About Us**:
The Government & Community Relations Department is seeking a highly motivated and career minded individual to join their team as a **Community Relations Specialist.**

You will have the opportunity to develop, implement and execute on community relations liaison strategy to build and sustain partnerships in the communities in which we operate and to increase our programs/initiatives' visibility and participation. This will involve developing and executing program plans on community events/initiatives, meetings, community forums, conferences, workshops, projects and other activities related to the CAA School Safety Patrol program. You will be responsible for ensuring expert and technical advice and consultation to CAA SCO management, stakeholders and partners on community relations and traffic safety issues and policies to maintain CAA SCO's role as a trusted safety advocate. In partnership with CAA SCO's managers, you will develop operational plans that guide the focus and objectives of community relations programs. You will respond to all Member, media, stakeholder, and public inquiries about community relations activities in a meaningful and timely manner. You will liaise with CAA SCO's Government Relations team to become familiar with synergies that can impact program partnership opportunities.

**Position Details**:

- You will have experience working in foundations or a charitable organization.
- You will possess strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- You will have a proven track record in building strong relationships and rapport.
- You are a charismatic team player who demonstrates understanding of key stakeholder objectives to influence, build persuasive arguments, and gain support to achieve business goals.
- You will have strong project management skills, demonstrated through your ability to assess priorities and meet deadlines while managing multiple activities and projects.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within south-western Ontario.
