**Who We Are**:
Reena is a non-profit organization that has provided community services for people with developmental disabilities while promoting dignity, individuality, independence, personal growth and community inclusion within a framework of Jewish culture and values since 1973. Reena advocates for people, and supports individuals to develop spiritually, feel a connection and sense of belonging to their roots, culture and community, but also encourages the expression of everyone’s culture and religious roots, regardless of background and denomination.

Community Participation (Day Services) provides recreational, educational and therapeutic programming for individuals living both at Reena and with their families in the community. Day services have been available to adults for 45 years at multiple locations. The focus of Community Participation is to provide programming, which enhances life and social skills and community inclusion. Programs are provided within Reena and larger community settings.

The Program Facilitator will be assisting with developing, facilitating and implementing practical programs that foster independence, creativity and maximize individuals’ potential; Working towards the goal of Reena’s mission statement for true community inclusion, the Program Facilitator ensures a well standing relationship with all individuals and staff programs. Additionally, the Program Facilitator will ensure Reena’s Jewish philosophies are well represented within its programming.

**1) Program Responsibilities/ Life Skills**:

- Assist with developing, facilitate and implement programs specifically designed to meet the unique social, physical, and emotional needs of each individual of care.
- Facilitate programs in consultation with consultants (SLP, OT, BT etc.)
- Staff are responsible for the overall health and safety of the programs they are facilitating.
- Assists with planning and implementing agency wide events.
- Assist with keeping staff and individuals motivated
- Maintain documentation related to the programs such as participation list, IPAC measures, incident reporting, and other any concerns as they arise
- Actively participating in departmental and team meetings
- Ensures the staff develop and demonstrate an awareness of Judaic culture while respecting individual choices.
- Participates in agency trainings
- Works flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
- And other tasks as they arise

**2) Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Recording and reporting transactions for any purchases.
- Maintain a log consisting of written documentation and statements regarding daily activities and going’s-on, including any concerns or incidents that may have occurred’
- Assists to ensure that all documentation is filed correctly.
- Keeps inventory list of supplies and materials used
- Maintains organization of all supplies
- Completes reports/forms in a concise and coherent manner
- Ensures all relevant information/issues/serious occurrences are communicated to the Program Manager; follows appropriate channels of communication
- Helps develop and maintain program schedules for locations and drop-in programs.

**Professional Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrates professional conduct and accountability at all times which reflects positively on the agency
- Maintains confidentiality of individual, staff and agency information at all times
- Organizes and plans own areas of responsibilities; independently setting work and task priorities
- Conducts oneself in accordance with all of Reena’s policies and procedures
- Works with Reena Judaic frame work
- Reports directly to the Resource Supervisors and works in conjunction with coordinators

**Qualifications**:

- Two year college diploma in related field required with preference to social work/services
- 1-2 years experience working in recreation field with individuals with a developmental disability required
- Knowledge of recreational programs an asset
- Strong leadership skills/experience
- Technological proficiency - Office Suite, data recording systems, internet research
- Comfortability presenting, problem solving skills, good interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel independently to multiple locations
