**Paraiso Tropical - Latin Market **is looking to hire a Bookkeeping & Administrative Clerk for our team. This is for Full or Part Time Remote/office Position (60% Remote, 40% In-Office).
We are a locally-owned family run business with a team who share a common interest in Hispanic food, culture and language. We seek to build stronger connections with existing customers and teach new ones about our local Hispanic cuisine.

**1. Role**
The Bookkeeping & Administrative Clerk provides essential administrative and financial support to ensure smooth operations at Paraiso Tropical - Latin Market. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Admin Clerk will work closely with various departments to streamline processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
**2. Requirements**
- High school diploma; additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative or accounting role, preferably in retail.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
**3. Responsibilities**
Bookkeeping:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing & ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Handle the tracking and follow-up of credit notes.
- Perform all types of reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and weekly deposit reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and manage cash flow control.
- Support on budget definition and control, including monthly projections and preparing budgets.
- Review and categorize income and expenses in accounting software.
- Analyze accounting accounts and conduct closing reviews.
- Assist in payroll processing and review payroll reports.
- Scan invoices and upload to Dext and QuickBooks.
Administrative
- Coordinate and present the weekly KPI dashboard.
- Organize and maintain documentation in the cloud, ensuring it is up to date and coordinating compliance with other departments.
- Data preparation & cleaning - receiving source information, formatting and organizing data
- Assist with RFQ's and RFP's, procurement processes.
Inventory Data Entry:
- Monitor and report on inventory values (weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly inventory reporting) and other required KPIs and reports.
- Support Supply Chain team on data entry portions of inventory reconciliation, audits.
- Conduct store reviews as requested - emergency basis such as yearly inventory count.
**4. Report**
The Admin Clerk/Payroll Assistant will report directly to the Owner/Operations Manager and will collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth administrative and financial operations.
**5. Results**
- Accurate and timely financial, sales and performance reporting.
- Efficient processing of accounts and payroll.
- Organized documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Enhanced communication within the team and with external partners.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.50-$25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
