As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, maintenance, and daily operations of the accounting department. The Accounting Manager will monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate, timely financial reports and statements. They will also establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**General Accounting**:
Review and process and design and furniture project approvals

Reconcile bank accounts - all companies

Reconcile credit cards

Maintain Petty Cash

Arrange all tax remittances preparation (EHT, WSIB, ETD, HST), all companies on a timely basis

Review tax statements, all companies

Approve release of documents after verifying A/R for design and furniture products

Review all Requests for Extra Services (RFE) for accuracy prior to issue to the client

Issue/arrange per diem to employees when travelling

Bank authorization for wire transactions (Fob authorization)

Biweekly Payroll processing

**Accounts Payable**:
Posting all vendor bills, all companies

Printing weekly Accounts Payable reports

Printing cheques when required

Respond to vendor inquiries

Review and verify all statements

Issue PO’s, in Quick Books and Team Design

Review acknowledgements for pricing accuracy

Set-up of wire transfers for payables if required

**Accounts Receivable**:
Oversee the Workplace Services invoices process

Oversee the Storage and Rental invoices

Review all invoices prior to issue for accuracy

Approve new design projects on Salesforce, review various client documentation

Collection of overdue AR balances and preparation of Statements of Account

Post all cash receipts

Deposit any cheques received (remote capture system online in office)

Process client credit card payments electronically

Respond to client inquiries

**Corporate Accounting**:
AR and AP reports monthly to bank

Month end reporting

Annual tax reconciliations (EHT, WSIB)

Health and Safety Reporting - Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (Monthly)

Preparation of Year End working papers

Liaise with accountants and banks

Liaise with tenant of leased unit

**Performance Measurements**:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience

Demonstrates positive, polished interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in the English language, allowing for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to manage their own time efficiently and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good work ethic

Excellent knowledge of GAAP

Outstanding problem-solving abilities

Friendly, approachable and customer service oriented

Positive, confident attitude and professional personal presence

**Software Knowledge**:
**Demonstrated proficiency with**:
Quickbooks

Adobe

MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salesforce a definite asset

Team Design a definite asset

**Educational/Licensing/Certification Requirements**:
University Degree or College Diploma

Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping

Valid First Aid Certification

A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle
