Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for organizing workflow for multiple team members and printers;
- Provide support with proofing and production tasks;
- Troubleshoot graphics issues, identify printer problems and resolve them;
- Ensure and enforce proper quality levels and control;
- Coordinate the production of our proofing cycle;
- Assist with research and development initiatives to improve print quality;
- Collaborate in special cross-functional projects;
- Perform regular maintenance of hardware and software;
- Coach, manage and train a team of Prepress Technicians;
- Assign and delegate tasks on a daily basis with regular follow ups;
- Support the printing operators when necessary.

Knowledge and skills required
- 2-5 yrs experience in prepress, digital print. Experience in printer maintenance.
- Experience with color calibration using available tools: QC software, spectrophotometers, densitometers.
- Minimum 5 years experience with leading a function and managing a team.
- Experience with RIP software and Adobe graphics editing softwares (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Ability to manage color within a digital environment.
- Good understanding for the basics in color theory and color spaces.
- Knowledge of ColorGATE a great asset;
- Strong sense for workflows and process organization.
- Excellent computer skills, office support programs: Excel, Word, etc.
