Our team is comprised of heavy haul / project cargo experts from various industries such as project forwarding, rigging and specifically over the road transportation.

A **Operations Specialist's** primary function is to sell customer freight solutions.

Ensuring a high volume of customer interactions, encompassing prospecting, cold-calling, and closing deals; customer service and account management.
- Strategically price and prepare freight quotes & RFP opportunities including FTL, LTL, Domestic, Flat Bed, Over Dimensional Loads, Drayage, Port to Door, and Specialized equipment.
- Price project requests that provide our customers with innovative, cost effective solutions; research, source carriers, negotiate pricing.
- Maintain a high level of market awareness for the North American carrier network including the relative lane costs, capacity & key trade lanes.
- Rate Negotiation with carriers.
- Participate in sourcing carriers for new and existing activity.
- Assist with streamlining the pricing and carrier database and keeping it up to date.
- Lead on developing and maintaining an updated network for pricing within the Central Database for Specialized Freight.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management.
- Encouraged to bring on sales and help grow the Proactive brand.
- Attending occasional sales calls when required.
- Achieve individual, team, and company goals on a monthly / yearly basis.
- Working as a team in a positive manner to maximize opportunities.

**Skills & Requirements**:

- 3+ years of 3PL transportation industry experience
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Must possess a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of North American geography.
- Experience with cross border shipping requirements.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, tactical skills.
- Advanced MS Office skill level.
