Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for leading the Air Canada Vacations Human Resources team.
In This Role, You Will
- Responsible for developing, delivering and enhancing our HR programs and policies in order to attract and retain talent and support our corporate goals
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business and cultural strategy
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Advise Senior Management and colleagues on HR best practices
- Lead organizational changes and make sure they are communicated effectively and understood by stakeholders
- Nurture a positive working environment with programs to support the evolution of our culture as a great place to work
- Ensure employee satisfaction and growth via the use of Company-wide surveys
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Oversee the benefits programs (group insurance, employee share ownership plan, pension plan)
- Oversee the disability management process
- Oversee compensation and conduct periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management process

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and/or 5+ years related experience
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and trusting relationships with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both spoken and in writing
- Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information
- Sense of urgency, an ability to be proactive, prioritize work and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to engage and influence
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Bilingual, French and English required
- Travel required
