**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the Payroll Services Manager, the Remittance Coordinator works as part of a team responsible for the implementation and maintenance of payroll and stakeholder accounts for our clients.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Handle all stakeholder/paying agent inquiries and consult with the Payroll Services Manager when necessary.
- Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing of paying agent stakeholder accounts (WCB, EHT, CSST, HAPSET, etc.) throughout the Production Company lifecycle.
- Posting of all Union and stakeholder (WCB, EHT, etc) remittances.
- Remains up to date in stakeholder/paying agent legislation and guidelines (Service Canada, Ministry of Finance, Workers Compensation)
- Maintain knowledge of union contracts in the film industry.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating Union membership and RRSP lists.
- Knowledge of internal system processes regarding Employer of Record and stakeholder/Paying Agent Accounts, including WCB, EHT and Accident on Set (AoS).
- Involved in all Employer of Record and stakeholder/Paying Agent client accounts including, but not limited to, Union, RRSP, WCB, Child Trust and Garnishee. Duties include administration and remittance processing, resolving issues with stakeholders, and maintaining supporting documentation, processing refund requests and overall account maintenance.
- Processing of recovery refunds to ensure the Recoveries GL is reconciled in a timely manner.
- In conjunction with the Finance Department, ensure timely liquidation and reconciliation of accounts payable and aged payables accounts.
- In conjunction with Payroll Services Manager, provide support of override pinning/approval.
- Assist in the completion of year end reporting for all WCB and Health/Payroll Tax accounts.
- Provide support to other members of the payroll team and/or assists with additional tasks provided by the Payroll Services Manager when necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in a remittance coordinator role
- Understanding of Workers Compensation & Employer Health Tax reporting/remittances, Garnishee orders and union fringes/remittances (film industry desired, but not required).
- Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

**Working conditions**
- The hours of work are 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Some overtime may be a requirement of this position.
