**Your Role as Bakery Manager**

We are looking for a passionate Bakery Manager who is looking for the next challenge in their career and step into a leadership role and develop a strong bakery team. Working as part of the production and senior team, you’ll play a big part in making our products best in class. Your leadership and can-do attitude will support the bakery in all aspect of operations, so get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive in

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of bakers and support staff
- Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
- Innovate and develop new baked goods in line with market trends and customer demands
- Maintain relationships with cafes and contract clients, ensuring exceptional service, quality and consistency
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to optimize costs and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with senior management to drive growth

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience as a bakery manager, head baker, or similar leadership role
- Passion for baking and creativity in product development
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to manage high-volume hands-on production while maintaining quality
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed

**What you bring to the table**
- You are a passionate for baking.
- You have 2+ years’ supervisory experience in a similar role, ideally in the baking, food production, food service or the hospitality industry
- You have 3+ years’ experience in commercial baking
- You are a great communicator, problem solver and critical thinker
- You demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills in building camaraderie amongst the team
- You are a capable people manager and leader with proven experience in recruitment and selection, retention, staff development and disciplinary and termination procedures
- You have knowledge of financial management skills, understand the fundamental of profitability.
- You demonstrate and embed the company values throughout the department and the company as a whole
- You pay attention to detail, able to present digestible information effectively
- You have the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to achieve results
- You are flexibility across a 7-day schedule (we do aim for a set schedule; however, this industry does require the need for flexibility on occasion)
- You are willing to be available for a 5am start, and weekend availability
- You have your own Vehicle

**Physical Requirements**
- Continuous standing/ walking for all tasks
- Constant use of both hands
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 7.5 kg., reaching below shoulder level, bending and turning
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending and reaching above shoulder level
