Together, we are building better bakeries. **The Bread and Butter of the Position**: **Position Overview**: Portofino Bakery is actively seeking a vibrant and results-driven professional to step into the role of Regional Sales Manager - Direct Store Delivery. In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the sales performance and relationship cultivation with all direct store delivery-based clientele spanning Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Unlike conventional sales roles, this position emphasizes relationship-building and operational finesse over conventional persuasion tactics. Supported by a team of Sales Representatives stationed across Vancouver Island and the Mainland, your focus will revolve around strategic sales and return analysis, meticulous inventory data management, precise promotion forecasting, and effective people leadership. Crucially, success in this role hinges on leveraging process optimization to drive sales increases, ensuring that sales growth is achieved through efficient operations. This role serves as a cornerstone in ensuring optimal sales outcomes and fostering collaborative growth within our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, our Regional Sales Manager - Direct Store Delivery is responsible for: **Key Responsibilities**: 1. Team Leadership and Management: - Directly manage and lead Sales Representatives within the designated territory. - Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring team members are aligned with company objectives and values. - Implement effective coaching and development strategies to enhance the skill set of the sales team. 2 DSD Sales and Operations: - Take ownership of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales, returns, promotional execution, and overall customer service within the assigned territory. - Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless communication and develop a culture of teamwork between departments. - Ensure flawless execution of the GS (Guaranteed Sale) program. - Grow DSD sales and deliver results to plan 3 Field Operations and Store Visits: - Cultivate strong relationships with retail partner teams of key customers. - Based on projects & priorities, work with the Director of Sales to build a monthly schedule for days on the road, either accompanying the Retail Sales Representatives team or visiting assigned stores independently. - Maintain a home base at the Saanichton Distribution Center for strategic planning and coordination. 4. Key Account Management: - Manage assigned key accounts at the head office level, ensuring their unique needs are met effectively. 5 Cross-Departmental Collaboration: - Establish and maintain strong daily alignment between Delivery.
