**PURPOSE**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to)**:

- Consulting with employees and managers and providing guidance and advice to business teams and leaders on all people management matters; addresses root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach
- Delivering the global HR agenda, initiatives and objectives in support of the business
- Partnering effectively with leaders, managers and employees across the business; providing leadership and coaching to drive the successful implementation of the company’s people and culture strategy in a consistent manner
- Providing guidance on complex employee relations matters, including but not limited to; corrective action, coaching, flexible work arrangement, feedback and performance management
- Building relationships and collaborating with our COEs to deploy strategies to impact capabilities in innovation and leadership
- Overseeing the annual performance and compensation cycles for assigned client groups to include communication, training, consistency reviews, calibration sessions, and strategic use of compensation budget in concert with talent identification and succession planning efforts
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Leveraging the broader HR community to proactively identify improvement needs for the HR function with a passion for continuous improvement of the service delivery model
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Partnering with our HR Shared Services team for questions related to human resources policies and procedures in Canada
- Reporting and analytics to support workforce planning, attrition, new hire analytics, and supporting reports related to business needs
- Acting as the first point of contact for Workday system related assistance or questions
- Project management of annual programs to include scheduling, execution, follow-up and employee support for compensation planning, performance reviews, etc.
- Supporting job description development, job leveling and evaluation; supporting managers in partnership with Talent Acquisition on the recruitment of talent including equity and compensation reviews to help ensure fair pay within the organization
- On/ Off-boarding, provide onboarding details, support, welcome letters. Help facilitate voluntary exits, involuntary separations, provides coaching to managers on onboarding & backfill process. Lead restructuring process. Prepare costing calculations for employment related actions, ensure points of contacts with employees are made for new employees & exits across full population
- Participating in employee engagement initiatives across specified sites / locations
- Completing special projects and performing other related duties as assigned or needed

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or other relevant field
- Five or more years of strong experience working as a generalist or business partner
- Experience working with an HRIS system is required
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Highly motivated self-starter and team player with a professional demeanor
- Solid understanding of Canadian employment laws and regulations; experience working with client groups in the United States and understanding of local laws is preferred.
- Strong experience in employee relations and employee engagement
- Experience with Workday HRIS is preferred
- Effective presentation skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Actively pursues continuous improvement in processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to competing priorities
- Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving
