The Logistics Planner will coordinate and manage freight requirements for Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and other products via Third Party Carriers ensuring that all shipments are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks and rail cars
- Track shipments from pickup to delivery
- Negotiate with providers to obtain the best rates and service
- Create and monitor a provider benchmark system to measure service levels
- Receive and process requirement requests from customers
- Participate in various projects by managing new initiatives as they arise
- Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly statistics
- Perform administrative duties as required

Q**ualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in freight planning, truck/rail coordination or similar role
- Excellent Customer Service/communication skills
- Knowledge of geography and transportation
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible and able to adapt to change
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced/strong computer skills - Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), TMS programs
