Agriculture in the Classroom-Manitoba (AITC-M) is looking for a **Communications Coordinator** to help us share the incredible story of AITC-M with educators, partners and communities across the province
**Who We Are**: AITC-M is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to fostering agriculture literacy in Manitoba classrooms. Through innovative programs, engaging resources, and industry partnerships, we bring agriculture to life for students K-12 — connecting them to where their food comes from and inspiring the next generation of ag leaders.
**What You’ll Do**: As our Communications Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in shaping our voice and amplifying our message. Working closely with the Engagement and Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Crafting compelling content—articles, newsletters, social media posts, website updates, and more
Leading the implementation of our social media strategy—scheduling posts, tracking engagement, and sharing impactful stories.
Designing eye-catching marketing materials—brochures, annual reports, presentations, and eNews.
Keeping our website content fresh and engaging.
Coordinating media content—writing press releases and staff messaging.
Supporting events and programs—trade shows, educator conferences, and more.
Capturing powerful moments—photography and videography for programs, events, and resources.
**What You Bring to the Table**:
A diploma or degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing marketing and communication strategies.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content.
Social media savvy, with experience managing platforms and analyzing performance.
Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a big plus).
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
A collaborative spirit—you're a team player who loves to share ideas and support others.
A passion for agriculture and education (experience in the ag industry or non-profit sector is a bonus).
