**Communications Coordinator**

Join the small, dedicated team at Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM) as the communications Coordinator

As the Communications Coordinator, you will contribute to communications and marketing initiatives

to help achieve the organization’s strategic and tactical objectives. Reporting directly to the

Director of Marketing and Communications, the scope of this position includes the following:
**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate MMSM’s social media presence and digital communications. Develop meaningful, accurate, and engaging content, and monitor coverage.
- Maintain and share a content calendar for social media posts on multiple channels with internal stakeholders.
- Develop specific strategies for existing social media networks to generate brand awareness, drive traffic, and increase engagement.
- Resize/format imagery as required and develop video content for social media and MMSM’s website.
- Research industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and platforms.
- Write and edit content for a variety of internal and external communications including articles, annual reports, blogs, brochures, web copy, and other types of publications.
- Update MMSM’s websites and other online resources.
- Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of campaigns and strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**What you bring**:

- Degree or diploma in communications and/or marketing field.
- One year of experience in a communications or marketing role. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Creative mind with the ability to assist in the development of a variety of marketing and communications initiatives.
- Experience in developing communications for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Experience using CMS platforms to edit and update websites.
- Experience using social media management tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent digital media editing tools.
- Video creation/editing skills an asset.
- Experience managing paid social media advertising is considered an asset.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and coordinate many projects at any given time.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills that can work effectively with others.
