The Porch attracts locals and tourists looking for a quintessential summer experience 7 days a week.
Weekend events and programming turn up the party to the Porch. With your team up top, your entire summer season will be filled with unpretentious fun working in a dynamic, high volume venue.

We are looking for energetic, fun and enthusiastic Hosts who share our passion for great food, entertainment and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner as they arrive at the venue
- Follow Host Steps of Service to ensure consistent guest experience
- Effectively communicate with upstairs and downstairs hosts to manage reservations, guest walkins and guest arrival
- Knowledge of the reservation system to manage reservations and in venue accommodations
- Accurately input and collect cover charge where applicable through POS system
- Point out where washrooms or other venue specifics are located for guest convenience
- Alert servers or bartenders of new guests in their designated section
- Inform guests of any food or drink specials or special events that may be happening
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu offerings including common allergens
- Conduct washroom checks to ensure cleanliness and supplies are in stock
- Keep all work areas clean and organized including host stand
- Contribute to the sanitation and cleanliness of our venues
- Effectively communicate with team and offer support as their needs may require
- Keeps an eye on the floor and anticipates the needs of guests and fellow team members
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Creating positive shareable experiences and memories for people
- Other duties as assigned

**Must Haves**:

- Smart Serve Certificate required
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A passion and commitment to quality guest service and hospitality
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under varying degrees of busyness
- Able to work on the weekends and holidays, including late nights and into the wee hours of the morning

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
