**Job Summary**:
Rockeast Energy is seeking an Intermediate Geologist to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work in a multidisciplinary team to complete the reservoir characterization and deliver the high quality subsurface geological interpretations for upside potential evaluation, drilling location identification and the filed development plan.
- Provide solid seismic interpretations for G&G integrated reservoir study and mapping.
- Conduct core observation and petrophysical evaluation for various types of formations to generate the petrophysical type logs and build the solid rock properties model for reservoir classification and delineation.
- Prepare geological mapping and modeling using industry software such as Geoscout and Petrel; build the comprehensive geological static model for the reservoir dynamic simulation.
- Collaborate with the operation team to finalize the drilling locations, optimize lateral trajectories and determine directional plans.
- Take the geological lead in field drilling activities to supervise wellsite geology and directional drilling.
- Assist in mineral land management and recommend drilling plan to extend and maintain the leases.

**Qualifications**:

- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- BSc in Geoscience or above.
- Professional Geoscientist registered with APEGA or eligibility for registration.
- 5+ years of geoscience experience in oil and gas development
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in Alberta.
- Familiarization of industrial software, Geoscout, Petrel, etc.
- Good team player, capable of working under strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

**Preferred** **Qualifications**:

- Fluency in a second language (Mandarin) is highly desirable.
