Business Analyst

**JOB OBJECTIVE**

The Business Analyst works closely with business stakeholders and the IT team to help deliver technology experience and solutions that support our business strategies and help improve business processes. This business analyst will begin with gathering current state business requirements and map out future state business processes and requirements; they will also complete a fit-gap analysis and design processes in response to those gaps. Translating business strategy into feature/project requirements is a specialty of this individual

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Evaluate business process, uncover areas for improvement in current enterprise sales and customer services process.
- Facilitate requirements and solution validation activities to ensure project deliverables will meet key business needs
- Developing and maintaining project plans for your portfolio including; scope statements, schedules, communication plans, goals and milestones, deliverables and deadlines.
- Completing project coordination tasks required to initiate, organize, and close projects
- Providing regular project documentation tracking, reporting, and follow up to both internal and external customers.
- Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
- Managing changes to the original scope through change order requests where required.
- Work with business departments to understand, capture, and document processes
- Identifying issues and proposing resolutions, escalating to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Document business requirements, translating them into functional requirements
- Participate in vendor demos, matching software capabilities to business needs
- Assist the team in different project phases (initiation, design, build, test, deployment, training)
- Document test scenarios, test cases, and expected results
- Access databases and spreadsheets to analyze data
- Help prioritizing activities and projects based on business value
- Work on several initiatives in parallel
- Support the project manager as needed to ensure successful project completion
- Act as liaison between business and technical teams

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the retail/wholesale industry
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
- Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience with ERP or Salesforce implementation is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data for design or debugging purposes
- Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keep the guests need at top of mind
