The Nooks is expanding and coming to Square One We are currently hiring Part Time Customer Experience Representatives on a 4-month contract at our new store opening June 1 in Mississauga, Ontario

The Nooks is the first Artisan Retail Business Incubator in Canada Our unique retail model combines in store space, a ‘nook’, with an online marketplace for handmade businesses to grow a successful retail business We give makers 100% of their sales in exchange for a monthly membership fee.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Ensure our customers have a positive and lasting impression of their experience
- Welcoming, engaging and connecting with our customers in-store, by phone and online
- Learning about makers’ products and sharing your expertise with customers
- Assisting customers locate and select products and by making customer specific suggestions to encourage product purchases
- Resolving issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner
- Processing point of sale transactions quickly and accurately
- Staying current, understanding and communicates The Nooks policies and well as the wide range of services and events offered
- Ensuring the store is visually appealing contributes to company standards through product presentation, replenishment, store housekeeping, store maintenance and visual displays

RETAIL SALES SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- 2+ year experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments
- Business administration proficiency a plus
- Comfort using technology such as, point of sale programs, basic computer/tablet navigation, word processing programs, network troubleshooting
