Together we are more than 5,000 dedicated faculty, librarians and staff supporting the University of Victoria’s diverse academic programs, world-class research and commitment to civic engagement. **The salary range for this position is**: - **Recruitment range: $65,860- $72,607** starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement. - **Performance range: starting salary to max of $85,633** is available through annual performance increases. - Job Summary The Science Venture Manager of Programs reports to the Director, STEM Youth Outreach. The Manager of Programs role is multi-faceted and is responsible for overseeing program delivery and staff supervision. These areas include program promotion, safety procedures, staff scheduling, curriculum development, and parent engagement. During the summer camps programs, the Manager of Programs supervises: 2-4 Student Coordinators (Camp, Outreach); up to 30 full-time Instructors, and 60 volunteers. Evening and weekend work will be required. Peak programing is in the spring/summer months (April - September) when workshops/camps are in operation. - Job Requirements This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (science, engineering, education) plus 1 year of relevant experience.
