Summary

The Victoria Youth Clinic Society, lead agency for Foundry Victoria is seeking a Manager of Programs and Services.

Foundry is removing barriers and increasing access to health and wellness services for young people ages

12 - 24 and their caregivers through integrated mental health care, substance use services, physical and sexual health care, youth and family peer support and social services.

The Manager of Programs and Services administers, oversees and coordinates allied health services offered by Foundry Victoria, ensuring the seamless delivery of the core service streams. They provide clinical leadership to the development, delivery, and evaluation of services and promotes interdisciplinary practice and collaboration. They act as a clinical resource to staff, students, inter
- professional team members and partners in the clinical care of young people and their families. The

Manager of Programs and Services identifies learning needs and interests of staff, provides educational and orientation programs, coaches, and mentors, conducts performance evaluations, and provides feedback. They interpret, implement, and monitor policies, procedures and standards related to client care and supports the day-to-day clinical operations at Foundry Victoria. They collaborate with other

Foundry centres, local committees and participate in case conferences to ensure timely and seamless delivery of services.

Reports to the Victoria Youth Clinic Executive Director, working closely with Medical Directors, the Centre Manager, and Foundry Central Office.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree from an accredited University in social work, psychology or behavioral sciences. Registration in the related accredited body for their profession is mandatory;
- 3-5 years of related experience in clinical specialty area of youth mental health, substance use and or experience in a health care setting working on an interdisciplinary team;
- Experiencing working with youth and their families;
- Experience successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams;
- Experience working within primary care considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of broad range of issues pertaining to mental health and substance use among youth and their families;
- based interventions in the areas of case management, individual, family and group therapy, intake and screening, and risk assessments;
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally safe and harm reduction principles of care;
- Knowledge of supervisory and consultative process, including ability to teach, coach, mentor and provide clinical support and supervision;
- Demonstrated knowledge of interdisciplinary team care, including understanding of frameworks of other disciplines;
- Ability to manage crisis situations, and to provide leadership to staff in management crises;
- Ability to work effectively in team-based setting and independently and with partner agencies;
- Effective listening and consensus building skills that promote cooperation and problem solving;
- Solid understanding of human services ethics with regard to confidentiality;
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Acts, pertinent regulations, policies and procedures (such as Mental Health Act, Adult Guardianship Act, Health Care Consent and Care Facility Act, Child and Community Services Act, Freedom of Information and Protection Act etc.) ;
- Ability to support community partnership through collaboration, referral pathway development and communication;
- Has a good grasp of budget monitoring, program development, evaluation and reporting.

Key

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide clinical guidance and expertise, mentorship, coaching and consultation to the centre’s interdisciplinary service providers, students and partners;
- Overseas daily work flow for allied services and programs, including case management team, counseling team, peer support program and social services;
- Provides clinical support for allied health teams with an emphasis on evidence-informed and culturally responsive practice to promote continuity of care;
- Provides supervision of four Team Leads in areas of counseling, case management, peer support and Foundry Works and Education programs;
- Collaborates with primary care team, other services, and partners to develop, implement and evaluate the integration of services at Foundry Victoria and promote effective referral pathways and linkages with other facilities, agencies and services in Victoria;
- Supports the development of comprehensive care plans and interventions for youth and their families, using assessments, best practices and evidence-based interventions and including voices of youth and their families, where appropriate;
