Together we are more than 5,000 dedicated faculty, librarians and staff supporting the University of Victoria’s diverse academic programs, world-class research and commitment to civic engagement. **_*This position is eligible for a Hybrid Work Arrangement*_** **The salary range for this position is**: - **Recruitment range: $69,052- $76,129** starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement. - **Performance range: starting salary to max of $89,791** is available through annual performance increases. - Job SummaryReporting to the Associate Dean, External and Outreach, the Connections Program Manager will lead the Gustavson Mentorship Program, and other streams within the Connections Program, across undergraduate and master’s programs as required. Connects students with industry for career development activities can include (but are not limited to) presentations to industry and community partners, conferences, project based learning, and team coaching on course deliverables. The Connections Manager is responsible for enhancing learning initiatives at the School by implementing and evaluating meaningful engagement of mentors with students and faculty members. Major responsibilities include implementing the mentorship program curriculum for both undergraduate and graduate students, communicating with and developing relationships with new and existing mentors, as well as identifying possible opportunities for activities within the curriculum develop other learning opportunities, inside and outside of the classroom. This program will support the development of career-ready graduates by intentionally threading experiential learning, reflection, and career education. The position will work with the Associate Dean, External and Outreach and student program leaders to ensure student and mentor learning opportunities and activities are in line with curriculum goals. Duties and responsibilities may include: - Managing the curriculum design and implementation of the mentorship program - Partnering with the program teams, to ensure the creation of learner-driven outcomes - Strategically building learning outcomes for all participants in the mentorship program that are measured, evaluated, and improved on - Creating new opportunities for the Connections Program to grow and evolve within the School - Developing relationships quickly with students, community partners, staff, and faculty - Job RequirementsThis position requires a relevant undergraduate degree in Administration, Education, Leadership or other appropriate discipline, plus minimum 3 years of related experience including: - Experiential learning curriculum development and delivery - Education program management implementation and assessment - Diverse work environment and sensitivity to a diverse stakeholder population - Collaborative relationship building - Awareness of mental health resources and initiatives An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. **Knowledge requirements include**: - Experience in the design and delivery of in person and online educational programs - Connecting objectives and outcomes to program goals - Excellent digital literacy, including the use of MS Office (particularly Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel), databases, and Zoom - Understanding of career education theory an asset **Competency requirements include**: - Confidence collaborating in creating learning solutions - Ability to motivate and inspire others, strong commitment and passion to enhance the student experience - Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse population of internal and external stakeholders - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends - Ability to work both in person and online - Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills - Superior communication skills, both written and verbal - Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills - Demonstrated initiative and willingness to champion innovation and new processes - Sensitivity to student mental health and wellness **Assets or Preferences**: - Previous experience in career coaching and career education an asse
