As a **Maintenance Operations, Summer Student** with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts in the Burnaby Terminal. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in maintenance operations, supporting the upkeep and efficiency of our facilities and equipment.
**This position is based out of our Burnaby & Westridge Marine Terminals and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.**
**Duration: May 5, 2025, to August 29, 2025.**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the coordination and support of maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Help maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Assist with critical spares inventory management and ordering of maintenance supplies.
- Assist with documentation / maintenance manual management.
- Participate in safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on various projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
**Qualifications and Professional Experience**
- Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program with at least one year completed.
- Previous experience within an industrial setting would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft systems - Outlook/Word/Excel/Share Point/WebEx/Teams/Microsoft Calendar.
- Strong interest in maintenance operations and facility management.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is an asset.
- Willingness to work in various environments and conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks as assigned.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Other Requirements and Information**
- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution, returning to full-time studies in the Fall term.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is preferred.
**The expected pay range for this position is $** **21.81 to $** **27.47 CAD per hour.**
