Your responsiveness shines in emergencies, capturing the heart and soul of Baptist Housing's commitment to person-centered wellness model of care. **Must Haves** - Graduate of a recognized school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or degree in Health Care Administration - Current RN registration in good standing with BCCNM - Coursework in Leadership and Management - Two years of nursing experience in gerontology - Five years of health care management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience **About The Role** - Coordinate, supervise, and develop clinical programs. - Ensure programs meet residents' physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs. - Provide leadership in the planning, development, and evaluation of departmental goals. - Contribute to strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives. - Participate in accreditation processes. - Participate in the selection, hiring, and orientation processes. - Supervise, manage, and appraise the performance of team members. - Support long-term care coordinators in performance management. - Develop the team through feedback, leadership, coaching, and mentoring. - Monitor attendance, approve leaves, and manage payroll. - Provide monthly reports to the long-term care administrator. - Foster positive partnerships with key partners and organizations. - Interact with Vancouver Coastal Health on resident care and policy development. - Maintain awareness of healthcare trends and participate in committees. - Collaborate in preparing the department budget and overseeing expenditures. - Take responsibility for personal and professional development. - Attend workshops and training sessions for skill development. - Maintain competencies for licensure. - Establish and support a health and safety culture. - Demonstrate and encourage safe working practices. - Identify hazards, ensure training, and enforce compliance with safety regulations. - Participate in safety meetings, investigations, and resolution of identified hazards. **About Us** Baptist Housing provides enhanced living communities and exceptional care to over 2700 seniors in British Columbia. View, is a 7-story, 260-suite residence in Saanich's neighbourhood. **What You Receive** We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring an annual salary range of $113,000 to $120,000. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous 20 days of vacation.
