Join The Victoria Primary Care Society Board of Directors Are you passionate about accessible, community-based health care? Our non‑profit society, which oversees the operation of Health Care on Yates, is seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board member, you will help guide the strategic direction, governance, and sustainability of our organization — ensuring high‑quality, equitable care for patients at Health Care on Yates. Who We Are Health Care on Yates is a nurse practitioner clinic that offers comprehensive primary health care to individuals and families. Our Vision - Enhance community health and wellbeing one person and family at a time. Our Mission - Deliver comprehensive, high‑quality care services in a team‑based environment that is collaborative, and trauma informed, placing the patient and our family at the center of care. Our Values Inclusivity – – Respect – Equity – Collaboration – Compassion Who We Are Looking For We are seeking individuals who bring expertise, passion, and a collaborative spirit. In particular, we are looking to strengthen our Board with members who have skills and experience in some or all of the following areas: Communications Government Relations: Understanding of how government works — particularly within the Ministry of Health — and how to influence and affect change at various levels. Public and Media Relations: Experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and public relations to help share our story and build strong community partnerships. Accounting: Professional accounting or financial management experience, and the ability to support other Board members and Clinical Directors in fulfilling financial oversight responsibilities. Business Experience: Understanding of financial stewardship and organizational sustainability. Business Analytics Cyber Security / Information Security and Privacy Ideal Candidates Have a strong commitment to improving community health and well‑being Bring a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach to governance Are willing to contribute their time, expertise, and perspective to Board discussions and committees Experience in governance, non‑profit organizations, or health care preferred. Commitment Board meetings are held monthly Members may also participate in committees or special projects between meetings This is a volunteer position How to Apply Please submit a brief letter of interest and résumé outlining your relevant experience and why you would like to serve on our Board.
