We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team in the lower mainland. When building our team, we are looking to recruit individuals who understand not only the industry, but pride themselves on quality and efficiency and are self-motivated and professional.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring bidding accuracy through all phases of the bidding process. Attends site meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates when necessary.
- Reviews proposal specifications, contract documents including general conditions, tender form, drawings, and required price breakdowns.
- Review and analyze actual project costing and production information against estimates and develop historical databases.
- Prepare bids, select vendors and/or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of projects to be bid.
- Using critical thinking to evaluate project estimate vs. budget outcomes, to continually improve accuracy
- Actively sourcing new markets and opportunities
- Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Continuing to nurture and grow our valued subcontractor relationships

About You

You will need a minimum of 3 years of relevant estimating experience, preferably in the construction/landscaping field. You must also possess a valid drivers license and a clear driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to produce accurate take-offs
- Willing to travel and available on short notice
