**EXO** **Construction Group** is a growing General Contracting company based in Surrey, BC. Our main focus is on Tenant Improvements with growing demand within new construction including EXO Building System, our proprietary modular building system.
- We are actively seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a full-time permanent _**Estimator and looking to make a difference.**_

**Position Overview**

As an general contracting estimator, you will be responsible to find opportunities and provide quotes on the total project costs. You will need to estimate and gather all costs per project and create relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers. Create and submit proposals, pre-qualifications packages and track the costs of a project while understanding customer specifications, and proposing a final budget for each project.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings as required
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, trades and suppliers
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements per project
- Complete take-offs/estimates or assigned projects
- Prepare reports detailing all of the costs going into a project
- Negotiate contract price with sub-trades and suppliers
- Present final estimates/proposals to the of Director of Project _with a winning strategy_
- Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
- Review differences between estimated cost and actual cost with Project Managers
- Work with the biz dev team to prepare proposals as required
- Consult, communicate, and build rapport with internal departments
- Visit job sites as needed

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 3 to 5 years of experience working as an estimator for General Contractors specialized in tenant improvements and new constructions with skills within most construction divisions
- Estimating Certificate, education in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Building Connected, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam or equivalent software
- Ability to create reports on costing data and understand local market to win jobs
- Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements/specifications
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to put together professional presentations
- Detail oriented
