We are looking to hire an **experienced** General Construction Estimator to join our growing team.

This is a full-time,_**in-office**_ position.

**Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation in the Lower Mainland and be willing and able to obtain a criminal record clearance.**

1. Be a hard-working, organized, personable team player who is detail oriented.

2. Have commercial estimating and tendering experience in the Lower Mainland of BC.

3. Current knowledge of the BC building codes, scopes of work, bonding, and CCDC contracts.

4. Have knowledge and experience in the coordination and scheduling of projects through the full contruction cycle.

5. Be a proactive problem-solver that can manage multiple bids with positive results.

6. Proficient in numeracy and computer programs including Excel.

7. Able to read and interpret scopes of work, specifications, architectural and engineering drawings.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- #1. Customer service relations_
- Communicate in a professional manner with consultants, trades, and suppliers to ensure ongoing positive relationships while creating strong new relationships.
- Schedule meetings with clients, site managers, and other professionals as needed.
- #2. Meet sales budgets and performance goals_
- Prepare detailed estimate budget costs for multiple project proposals running concurrently by studying plans and specifications to include costs and scheduling impacts involved in completing the project.
- Visit project sites to gather information, photos, and measurements.
- Research and source best pricing from qualified subcontractors.
- Present budgets, reports, and project plans concisely for efficient and profitable completion.

3. _Knowledge_
- Stay up to date with BC building codes, safety codes, and construction improvements.
- Utilize spreadsheets and company software to input dimensions and other data to calculate projected costs of proposed projects.
- #4. Business development _
- Work with the RJS team to identify the size and types of ideal projects.
- Research, identify, and pursue new opportunities in target markets for ideal clients for single or ongoing projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $32.20-$45.10 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
