Inside Sales Representative

**Job Summary**
The Inside Sales Representative for the Rentals Department has direct responsibility for daily administrative duties, executing projects, and assist in the accountability for renting the company’s power generation and distribution solutions to customers. They will work in conjunction with other sales members both inside and outside to provide a customer focused level of service. They will assist the Key Account Manager in both quoting, execution and planning of projects.
**What You’ll Do - Role Responsibilities**
- Be a point person for general incoming emergencies rental inquiries
- Work with potential and existing customers to promote and develop rental business and to rent the company’s products
- Preparing, coordinating, and delivering timely and accurate proposals and quotations
- Collaborating with colleagues to facilitate smooth execution of projects including planning, monitoring, logistics, installations, fueling, servicing & invoicing
- Coordinating, negotiating with vendors and sub-trades as required to ensure successful projects - e.g., re-rent suppliers, electrical contractors, fuel companies, ESA, etc.
- Actively pursuing and sharing information which will benefit the Rental team - e.g., rental opportunities, names of upcoming projects, successful bidders, pricing feedback, etc.
- Manage rental opportunities with the aim of achieving gross margins, utilization and revenue that exceed forecasts
- Generate more face-to-face points of contact between the outside sales team and our existing and potential Customers
- Regularly and accurately populate the company’s business and contact tracking tools (CRM)
- Attend industry events and association functions which the Company is a member of to develop new and existing relationships
- Proactively engage assigned accounts to uncover further quoting opportunities
- Provide regular and assertive follow up on outstanding quotes
- Regular site visits via the outside sales team or in conjunction with the outside sales team to ensure the best way to approach and execute the project
- Take a proactive approach to estimating to maximize the company’s chance for winning projects
- Maintain an accurate and complete Opportunity Log with supporting documentation
- Work with suppliers to obtain accurate information and pricing on any sub-let products and/or services required for proposals
- Ensure that the right product is supplied to win the project
**What You Need - Requirements**
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years’ experience in sales/customer service
- Background (work experience and/or education) in mechanical/electrical fields an asset
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability outside core hours to meet customer emergency needs
**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- Local travel and periodic travel away from the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
