As an **Operations and Purchasing Specialist,** you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials, services, and equipment across the organization, ensuring optimal efficiency and profitability. Your bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish will be essential for establishing links with suppliers and stakeholders across borders, particularly in Mexico. Your deep knowledge of Mexican business and customs protocols will help foster strong relationships with suppliers and ensure smooth operational workflows.

**Responsibilities**

Strategic Sourcing and Acquisitions:

- Design strategies to discover cost-effective deals and reliable suppliers to facilitate operational and procurement processes.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, market analysis, demand analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from bid initiation to invoice approval, ensuring compliance with quality, budget, and delivery timelines.

Supplier Relationship Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure quality standards and timely delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Budget Management and Cost Control:

- Develop budgets and monitor expenses throughout the procurement cycle, promoting a culture of long-term cost savings in procurement costs.

Inventory Management:

- Establish and oversee inventory control procedures to ensure availability and optimal stock levels.
- Work closely with internal teams to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory accordingly.

Team Collaboration and Coordination:

- Collaborate with internal teams to understand materials requirements for projects and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized services as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

- Develop new methods to enhance efficiency in procurement processes, staying abreast of current industry trends and best practices.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and operations management, with at least 2 years of experience working with customs in Mexico.
- **Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.**
- Certifications in procurement or supply chain management are desirable.
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across cultures.
